Is that really the kind of customer you want?  One who is prepared to 
risk system stability for a few dollars?  I would say that if something 
breaks, he will be the same type of customer who wants you to fix it for 
free...

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that maybe he's 10 
years old and has saved his pocket money - after all, who wouldn't want 
to help a poor 10 year old just getting into Linux and VoIP?

Seeing as Digium no longer sells the X100P cards (of which you are 
hoping to buy a clone), I guess it's all right to use their bandwidth 
for this...

Yes, you can buy a clone.  Yes, it may work currently (although I 
wouldn't want to guess for how long).  Also, the actual cards that the 
X100Ps are based on have stopped being produced by Intel, so you're out 
of luck as far as a replacement goes in 6 months time.

Don't forget that the impedance on the X100P (or clone) is 600Ohms so 
you won't be able to use it without echo outside of the United States.

Really I'd recommend getting a TDM400P card or some older customers.
