I used it about 18 months ago with Asterisk, 7960's and microphones in a
room.  It does work,
 
You need to get the "grammars" correct.
 
Talk to Emmett Coin at www.ejtalk.com <http://www.ejtalk.com/> , he is a
professor and Dr. of speech recognition and he did the work.

Is anyone doing anything useful with Sphinx?
 
There is a small amount of info on the wiki to help with implementing it
but I'm curious if anyone is actually using it.
