Maybe as simple as the message is, it just simple means that you don't
have an OSS sound card available.
Clues would be that either you don't have OSS in your kernel, or you
have an app that is already using the soundcard such as esd or other
mixing daemon.
Unless you plan on using the console driver, don't worry about it. Or a
better solution is to edit your conf files and tell asterisk not to load
the OSS module and any other modules that you aren't using currently.
