[Asterisk-Users] Most Stable Version of Asterisk

We are using 1.2.1, 1.2.0, 1.0.10, 1.0.7, 1.0.3 and a few CVS versions
of Asterisk right now in our inbound and outbound call centers with
very few or no problems on any of them. The only suggestions I would
give you are to not use Real-time and to distribute the load and
agents over several servers. In my experience 200 agents on a single
server with Asterisk is begging for problems.

We have over 200 seats spread out across 4 locations and we have a
total of 12 Asterisk servers doing the job, some with 50 agents, some
with 10 depending on the location and the campaign
requirements(recording, monitoring, ivr, etc...) . Redundancy and
load-balancing are the best things you can do to ensure a high uptime
percentage. Also, none of these are expensive Xeon servers. With
load-balancing you can get away with cheaper hardware overall and get
a better reliability in the long run.
