And make sure you diable the funky cpu scaling feature in the kernel.
Otherwise the first time it tries to slow down a proc (assuming these
are dual core procs), your system will freeze hard.

Would you mind giving a little more info? Sounds like you learned this
the hard way, how do you turn off the scaling and is it in all FC4
architectures?
