[Asterisk-Users] fedora core 3 asterisk startup

"Permission denied" when using asterisk startup scripts or safe_asterisk

 

Both the asterisk script in /etc/init.d and the safe_asterisk script in
/usr/sbin are marked as executable text files, but both result in
permission denied when I try to execute them or when called at startup.

 

Can start the asterisk executable directly without issues.

 

Fedora Core 3

 

What have I missed?
