[Asterisk-Users] Google introduces text/audio chat client and service

They claim it's all based on 'open standards' (as opposed to Skype, the Roach 
Motel of telephony).   The text IM portion uses Jabber, and they encourage the 
use of any Jabber client.   Works great in Gaim and iChat, in my brief 
successful trials.

The big question is:   will there be some plausible hook into this telephony 
system using Asterisk?    How open is "Open", this time?
