Brian,
I am looking into the diva isdn cards for around 200 at this point. I
had the semiactive but it did not work, though it is S/T so I may be
able to use it on my windows server for faxing and share the lines with
the diva.
When you say expensive what do you mean?? It should be around
$54/month for 2 channels. As for time, yes, takes a while, but you need
to have a good rep to talk to.
For testing, I just connected an isdn modem to the pbx, which is
connected to a zaptel. Sounds good, but limited features.
Is the adtran a lot? It's a modem right, I know I got a 3com/usr for
like $20+ship on fleabay.
I'll keep you up to date as I go on...
Greg

Greg, that's why I wanted to use Asterisk with the Verizon BRI, so I
could extend a line from one location to another with a SIP phone at the
end instead of installing a new Verizon BRI. Verizon takes forever to
install new lines and its very expensive.
I've given up on the PCI BRI card, as the only one that I've heard will
work is the Eicon Diva Server card and they are too expensive. I can
use an Adtran Express 3000 to go from BRI to POTs in a pinch and connect
the POTs line to a Digium card until Verizon gets around to installing
the BRI at the new location.
