Are you trying to setup a seperate extension just for IP Switchboard?
That's what it sounds like you're trying to do.

You don't have to do anything to your Asterisk to use the program,
except enable the manager interface and add the 77 and 88 stuff to
your extensions.conf to be able to use parking.

Just set the monitor extension to the real extension that you want to
monitor, i.e. the receptionist's extension.
