You're probably missing the point here. The original poster appears
to have attempted to start a new thread by simply replying to an
article in an existing thread. This, I think you'll agree, is not
so helpful to people using threaded mail readers and is not following
proper netiquette.
The poster also made the mistake of not changing the subject line
when attempting to start the new thread. I, for one, delete a good
50-60% of the articles in this mail list simply based upon the subject
line - especially if I've read parts of the thread and have found it
to be of no interest. I imagine that others do the same.
Articles that have subjects such as "(no subject)", "Asterisk-Users
digest" and "a couple of questions" (with no actual indication of
content) get deleted almost as a reflex action. Most HTML articles
get deleted as soon as I open them; People who post using HTML deserve
nothing less.
