Thanks for all the replies :-). Really appreciate it.

Just downloaded the latest cvs of asterisk and it compiles fine now.

The latest source of say.c has the variables declarations at the start of the corresponding
functions as Juan said. 

BTW, downloaded the PWLIB 1.6.6-1 and OpenH323 1.13.5-1 from vox gratia 
here's the link http://www.voxgratia.org/, in case you need it.
