I'm on 2.6.7-gentoo-r6, which I installed today (upgraded from r5).
I have found the 2.6 kernel to be a lot better, in my unscientific
opinion, than the 2.4 kernel I've used in the past.

I don't set the USE variable at all when I built my Asterisk box.
