I'd suggest two things.

First: Check the mailing list archives.  A quick search shows a number of 
posts with similar problems.

Second: Issue the command "depmod -ae".  This will tell you exactly what
symbols were unresolved.  Post the output to the list if you're still not
sure.

The problem *might* be that you do not have USB support in your kernel.  
At the very least, you need to have issued "make dep" in your kernel 
source directory prior to attempting to build any new kernel modules.
