The other thing to know about that is the time it takes to transmit the
information. When moving from a channelized T1 with 4 digits of DID to a
PRI, we had enough of a difference in time in call connect that our
customers commented on it. So if 4 digits of DTMF is noticeable, do you
think 23 digits would be? Maybe cheaper, but you still have to watch
time till connected.
