If you're running any other voicemail contexts other than default (in your 
voicemail.conf), you need to specify the mailbox command like so in your 
sip.conf entry for the phone:

mailbox=nnnnn@[voicemail.conf-context]

To verify you've got that part right, send yourself a voicemail, then look 
at the sip debug output to your phone.  It will have entries in the notify 
statement sent to the phone if Asterisk is telling your phone you have messages.
