For me Monitor() used in the dialplan (extensions.conf) _does_ work for 
recording CAPI <--> MGCP calls as well as SIP <--> MGCP, and I do assume 
it'll work with other channel technologies as well. Don't confuse 
Monitor() with ZapBarge!
