[Asterisk-Users] Compile Error

Hi,
 
I have been running asterisk for about a week though on a debian system
through apt-get. I am now trying to compile it use the CVS and im getting
this error.
 
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lssl
 
What do I need to install to get rid of this message?
