and the licensing is a joke. with the MA4000 licensing/ip telephone
licensing/system size licensing/etc. the costs move rapidly upward as the
system scales upward in size. When are these guys going to realize that the
fact they don't need 'big iron' to support thousands of users means that the
cost ought to come down.
NEC is 'saying' they are releasing SIP phones but as with anything else with
NEC (btw-stands for No Equipment Coming) I am not holding my breath.

so are you ripping off an IP CCIS stream and simulating a CCIS node? I was
thinking about trying to put a t-berd on a t-1 CCIS span and seeing if I
could interpret the sigalling on the common channel to build a CCIS channel
for * as well but why do that if you can do it over IP?
whatever, IMHO the SV7000 Univerge is a great idea poorly executed.
