I had the same problem with polycom phones.  This is what I did to solve it:


exten => 777,1,Answer
exten => 777,2,Wait(2)
exten => 777,3,VoiceMailMain(${CALLERIDNUM})
exten => 777,4,Wait(1)
exten => 777,5,Hangup
