Oh yea, back to TCP/IP 101.  Broadvoice just responded and they say
they'll have local number portability in 30 days.  Bu'bye Vonage :)

I'll still try to get the ATA info though -- any interest on this list
if I'm successful?

You only know the MAC address if you are on the SAME LAN as the device. 
Vonage would not know the MAC address of the box only by looking at the
packet headers.
