Juan,
Let me clarify. By "drop in replacement," I did not mean it is exactly the same card. What I meant, was when installing the card, use the same process as you do with the X100P. The directions are the same, regardless of which card you use. That was a poor choice in words without the further explanation. I apologize for what ever inconvenience this may have caused.
I have no doubt that the X100P is a higher quality card. I mean $100 vs. $3 has to come from somewhere. For all I know, my caller ID issue could be heat related, and that is why your card has a heatsink. I haven't done enough troubleshooting to determine that yet. But obviously from the repeated questions, there is interest in using this card so I am going to continue to do what I can to help those people out.
Regards,
Jeremy

The i537EP isn´t a replacement, in fact the i537EP is a complete
different chipset just check the Intel developers site. AFAIR the i537UP
is the replacement the only difference I noted is the PCI chip since
Digium uses TigerJet chips and this modems uses MD3200, anyway I cannot
check since my X101P has a heat sink on top.
BTW, checking the Silabs pages which is the chip manufacter of the AFE
and DAA I noted that Si3012 is only FCC certified, are there problems
for people using european specs on the X101P ?
