Dumbass licensing restrictions tying the binary to the hardware -- I bought 
the thing, give me a regular paper contract that is legally binding -- the 
people who are going to steal the codec are going to crack the tiedown 
anyway.  Let me upgrade my box (CPU, network, hard drives) -- there's 
absolutely no reason to lock it down like this.
