Thanks Olle,
I asked because I followup all docs on installation and
compile it without problems and edited sip.conf inorder to listen on my ip address on 5060 port.
But when I run * the port is not open, no firewalling enabled...
My system is a RH9.
Any help will be appretiated.

I'm running Asterisk on both LInux and FreeBSD servers
without any PSTN or ISDN hardware.
