Not sure about what mailing list footer you get, but I do only get this at
the bottom of each mail:
> Asterisk-Users mailing list
> Asterisk-Users at lists.digium.com
> http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users
No unsubscribe instructions in there, unless you know that this is
mailman, where you unsubscribe using the listinfo form.
That said, I'm sure proper unsubscribe instructions ("To unsubscribe, go to
http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users or send a message
with just the word 'unsubscribe' to asterisk-users-REQUEST at lists.digium.com")
would help a great deal.
While at it, the admin could also enable Mailman's Administrativa filter,
which efficiently blocks "unsubscribe" messages to the list.
That said, I find an FAQ quite a good idea. Maybe just as another page on
the voip-info.org Wiki?
