I think that the two can be reladed, in order to use Internet Explorer for
DIAX (as ActiveX) when you enter to run something like:
diax://192.168.x.x, even from a browser.

Let's now thing at the syntax of such a command.
You must call through an * server, so the syntax must be somethink like:
diax://user:pass@192.168.x.x/extension

I'm right?
