Our company recently switched to an Asterisk setup.  The reason... we had a
couple of Nortel Meridians installed.  But no matter how much screwing
around with them they couldn't be configured easily enough for what we had
to do.  So it then got shoved aside and the Asterisk was installed complete
with some second hand Cisco 7960's.
Works a treat.
