While this is true most of the time, it fails in cases where the 
so-called "Enterprise"-Distributions are used. SuSE does still provide 
fixes for this particular system and it was actually chosen because of 
the long-time support. IIRC Suse provides support and fixes for these 
Enterprise Products for at least 5 years.

Upgrading this machine to a newer Release of the Email-Server 
productline will be pretty costly. I guess I´ll have to take a dedicated 
machine for * then.
