[Asterisk-Users] What they are used for?

Hi,

I see the following channels when Asterisk is started:

chan_modem_bestdata.so        ; BestData (Conexant V.90 Chipset) VoiceModem
Driver
chan_modem.so                     ; Generic Voice Modem Driver

What they are used for?
It means that we can use a voice modem as a FX0 interface?
