[Asterisk-Users] Asterisk NOOB

Im new to asterisk and just ordered the Dev Kit from Digium.

Im vaguely familiar with Linux. So bare with me.  (But learing quickly)

Im running Mandrake 9.1.


I used CVS to dload the system.

But when I do Make Install with asterisk i get:

checking for tgetent in -ltermcap... no
checking for tgetent in -ltinfo... no
checking for tgetent in -lcurses... no
checking for tgetent in -lncurses... no
configure: error: termcap support not found.
make:*** [editline/config.h] Error 1


I have on the web site it appears I should be able to run it without the
wildcard cards as long as I have a sound card,which I do and works.

I have installed openssl and readline.

anyhelp would be appreciated.
