You need to install Bison.

Install the RPM from:

ftp://pub/redhat/linux/8.0/en/os/i386/RedHat/RPMS/bison-1.35-4.i386.rpm

You'll also need kernel source for the kernel you're running.  The default:

ftp://pub/redhat/linux/8.0/en/os/i386/RedHat/RPMS/kernel-source-2.4.18-14.i3
86.rpm

That should get you further.
