Not sure if the gateway may be misbehaving, but I thought I'd send along
a data point:
Just tried to call in to myself using that number. At first, I had
forgotten to "register" with the IAXTEL server (I'm behind a NAT
gateway) and almost immediately I did the 1-700 thing there was a
message that "that user is not online."
So I set asterisk up to register me in iax.conf, and when I reloaded the
conf saw the "Registered to. . " line.
But after the cheerful male voice asks me to enter my number, and then
the sultry female voice asks me to hold while she tries that extension,
that's it: dead air and no indication of an incoming call on my asterisk
console.
Tried twice about 1/2 hour apart. Using CVS picked up a few minutes ago.
FYI whomever.
