[Asterisk-Users] Real-time Asterisk hacking at VON

Just an amusing note from the VON conference of earlier this week:
Most of the "big" vendors at the VON conference were there, showing
off their various wares. The majority of booths were staffed by
marketing droids or "product managers", though there was a reasonable
showing of some technical folks from smaller hardware/software
companies. However, I strongly doubt that any of the attendees were
able to claim the prize that Mark grabbed: updating features and
interoperability of the core system with another vendor right there
at the booth!
The fellow from the Snom booth commented that the date wasn't showing
up correctly on the Snom 200 that Mark had on the table, and that it
could be cured by putting a Date: header into the REGISTER reply.
Mark said "Sure!" and in about 10 minutes had put it in the code and
had the Snom correctly showing the date.
Side notes: the Snom can be rebooted (reset) without pulling the
power plug by hitting the "middle" button on the unit and then
pressing "#" then "*". Or was it "*" and then "#"? You get the idea,
anyway.
