<p>Since the Background category currently only describes the background of APIs as we define them, I'd change the category name to "API Background," since the reader might otherwise expect that the category discusses some sort of background for our decision to create this architecture.</p>
<p>I'd reverse the order in this section such that the second paragraph comes first, the definition of the two types of interfaces comes second, and the "Finally,.." paragraph remains last. I'd do this, because the second paragraph provides me a narrative of what an API is, before telling me the specifics about the two types that we provide.</p>
