Hi all,<div>Regarding Moises explanation, I've always thought early media starts once R2 registers were done. So, for example, after receiving a B-1 or a B-6 the speech path should be enabled before knowing if the call will be answered or not (ITU Q.474).</div>
<div>In Argentina, both Telefonica de Argentina and Telecom Argentina, behave that way. You'll get ringback audio, announcements or any early media just after B-6 or B-7 signals and before oob cas answer.</div><div><br>
</div><div>We've seen this same behavior using openr2 and Freeswitch/FreeTDM. We didn't get early media from the telco. Audio path was only connected after getting the answer signal. <a href="http://jira.freeswitch.org/browse/OPENZAP-117" target="_blank">http://jira.freeswitch.org/browse/OPENZAP-117</a></div>
</blockquote><div><br></div><div>Hi Ricardo, </div><div><br></div><div>Yes, media may be there, I am just worried about backwards compatibility since nobody had complained about it before and I wonder if there is PBX's out there which do not generate early media. Although, second thought, if that is the proper behavior I'd rather have users move away from the old wrong behaviour.</div>
<div><br></div><div>The FreeSWITCH bug has been fixed. Thanks for reporting it. We just did a bunch of new changes to the FreeSWITCH R2 module, all the feedback is appreciated.</div><div><meta charset="utf-8"><br clear="all">
