Ok, I have just tried rebuilding the package and got this:

I assume that compiling would throw the same error.

or just rebuild the Debian package, the Asterisk configure process will
find OpenR2 and enable it.

The binary package can't include the OpenR2 support after it has been
built. The build system looks for OpenR2 and if it finds, it will enable
support and will depend on OpenR2, but it's upon to the package
maintainer to add or not support for OpenR2 as it's not officially in

updated on the repository or compile OpenR2 and "tell" asterisk that now
it exists.

I have just compiled OpenR2 on that system, but I don`t know how to tell
Asterisk 1.6.2 that OpenR2 is now installed and usable. Perhaps I should
reinstall that package and it will check it automatically?

Hi Mariano, how you doing?

It means that you forgot to install libopenr2 and it's headers before
building Asterisk or this Ubuntu package don't build it with OpenR2
support (I suppose it's you problem for now).

Last time touched in OpenR2 for Debian/Ubuntu with tzafir, it was a
licensing complaint by ftp-master about a file in the package. Moises
and I solved this and we are waiting a next interaction (tzafir did a
commit yestarday for this).

I think it will get in Debian/Ubuntu in next few days.

For now, you can rebuild the package using Debian tools. Get a release
package of OpenR2, it includes the debian/ files to build the package.
