[asterisk-r2] Open-R2 Question

Hello Everyone,

 

I currently have an Asterisk Box running "Asterisk
SVN-branch-1.6.0-r138781-/trunk", with libss7 and a TE120P Digium E1
Interface. 

It is connected to a Cellular Phone Switch using ISUP protocol. It is
working fine for the past 03 months. 

Now I need to have an additional E1 connection to this server, and is has to
be R2. My plan is to replace the TE120P card for a TE210P (02 E1), and add
R2 support. 

My question is: If I install open-r2, and recompile Asterisk, will it work
with this version I'm currently using? Or it must only work will Moy's
Branch version??
