</div>With Asterisk 1.6.x it *happens* to work because the media negotiation<br>
in 1.6.x does a better job of trying to use the payload numbers chosen<br>
by the offerer, but Asterisk is not under any obligation to do that and<br>
as Olle and I have both posted, if your application does not operate<br>
correctly when the answer uses a different payload number than the offer<br>
used, then your application needs to be fixed/improved.<br>
