Paul,
This is not the user's list and they wouldn't maintain it.
It would fall under Jim Dixon and that crew.
Funny you say that nobody on the user's list is interested, there was a
post just today about it.
It is very niche, but to radio commo operators, it is invaluable.
The the, "All Star Radio Network" is fairly large and growing all the time.
I am not sure why it is not maintained when Jim Dixon has the code on the
repo, supposedly something in Asterisk is broken and broke app_rpt.
I think that whoever made the decision does not want to sign away the
rights to their code, there are hundreds of millions of dollars in this
functionality. I would probably not want to relinquish my rights to my
code under Digiums' dual license.
Next thing you know, Digium is making and marketing it's own app_rpt
appliance.
Don't believe me about the value of the application?

With all the radio equipment that is not compatible or lacking in features,
this perfect patch.
I have deployed this widely in the States for HAM fun and research as well
as Ops in Iraq.
Thanks,
Steve T

problem at all with these modules being in trunk, but they do not appear to
be maintained in this repository. One of the primary radio guys said in
#asterisk-dev the other day that plenty of people use this stuff, but that
fixes haven't been sent back up to this repo in years. It seems harmful to
have an out-of-date copy of this code here.
