[asterisk-dev] Using VLC application for confbridge MOH

Hello Asterisk developers,

First of all, I'm not sure if this should be asked here but I've been asking in the forums and so on and this could be my last chance... so, thank you in advance.



I'm using Asterisk-10.5.0 and I'm trying to stream audio for confbridge MOH. In previous asterisk versions I used meetme and even if it just accepted 8 kHz quality, it worked fine.



However, when I use confbridge there's a periodic (every half a second or so) noise which makes it really annoying.

I guess it must be something to do with timing which is not matching between vlc stream to stdout and confbridge, but I've been asking at the asterisk forums and none could help me...



In my musiconhold.conf (it works with meetme):

[default]

mode=custom

application=/usr/bin/vlc-wrapper rtp://@:5004 --sout=#transcode{acodec=ulaw,ab=64,channels=1,samplerate=8000}:file{mux=raw,dst=-}

format=ulaw



if further information is needed just tell me and I'll provide as much as I can!
