Well, yes that is how the sample config works, but it doesn't have to be that way.
Below will allow *6*6*6 ,*666, and 666 all do the same thing. I think I'll make the sample config look like this.
*=playback_and_continue(conf-usermenu)
*6=increase_listening_volume
6=increase_listening_volume
