[asterisk-dev] IM support for asterisk

Hi All, 

I love to work for adding support of IM through asterisk. Is it possible to add that functionality for asterisk 1.4

I mean asterisk simply drop the IM messages sent by VOIP clients like xlite or eyebeam. Is there a way to add the IM support for chan_sip.c ?
