[asterisk-dev] Compiling Asterisk with LUA

Hi all,

The following is the error in the config.log:

configure:42312: checking for luaL_newstate in -llua5.1
configure:42347: gcc -o conftest -g -O2   conftest.c -llua5.1    >&5
/usr/lib/gcc/i586-suse-linux/4.3/../../../../i586-suse-linux/bin/ld: cannot find -llua5.1
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status


However the Lua libs exists at:
/usr/bin/lua
/usr/bin/lua5.1
/usr/bin/luac
/usr/bin/luac5.1
/usr/include/lua.h
/usr/include/lua.hpp
/usr/include/lua5.1
/usr/include/luaconf.h
/usr/include/lualib.h
/usr/lib/liblua.a
/usr/lib/liblua.so
/usr/lib/liblua.so.5.1

Also /etc/ld.so.conf contains:
/usr/X11R6/lib/Xaw3d
/usr/X11R6/lib
/usr/lib/Xaw3d
/usr/i386-suse-linux/lib
/usr/local/lib
/opt/kde3/lib
/usr/lib
/usr/include
/usr/bin

Hello,

I?m having troubles to compile Asterisk 1.6.0.9 with LUA on OpenSuse 11.

I installed the LUA 5.1 packages from YAST (liblua5_1-5.1.4-1.22, lua-5.1.4-1.22, lua-devel-5.1.4-1.22) but still Asterisk can?t resolve the required dependencies.

Any clue or direction will be appreciated.

Check out the config.log file that the configure script generates.  It
will tell exactly what part of the LUA check failed.
