1.6.0.9 was rushed out to address a regression. To include a new big
set of bug fixes, we like to put the code through a release candidate
cycle to (hopefully) get some reasonable testing on it before release.
Unfortunately, in the case of 1.6.0.7, the RC process didn't help
catch the bug in question. Formalizing some of the testing that we do
for each release is definitely something we need to work on as a
development community in general.
