digium's svn has a branch 'team/group/cli_aliases' that will introduce
CLI aliases. We already have a schema for 1.2 and 1.4 there so you can
run 1.2 and/or 1.4 style commands on a 1.6/trunk asterisk install.
We did not go back to 1.0 because we think that's too old. If you want
you can do that and post it to the bugtracker ;)
