There is an issue/patch in Mantis to Realtime enable MeetMe.  If I had
the time, I'd plan to extend it with the scheduling logic from 
app_cbmysql, which I maintain.  Once MeetMe had internal knowledge
of a conference end time, it would not be too difficult to
'do the right thing'....

But at the moment the Manager API is your best bet.
