There's been discussion of switching bluez-libs to LGPL, which I think
would make a lot of sense if we can manage it.

Failing that -- you're using very little from bluez-libs, so perhaps you
could just do those things manually, or provide your own library with
reimplementations of those few functions you're actually using.
