There are, I believe, several examples of 'number collector' dial-plan 
examples available on the wiki at voip-info.org.  These scripts 
basically absorb entered digits and push them onto a stack that you can 
do with as you like.

Also, this is a -users question.  It is almost always better to ask a 
question on -users first if your question is of a 'can asterisk do this' 
  nature.
