[Asterisk-Dev] E1 channel allocation

Hi all.

Anybody know about the channel allocation order in the E1 Digium  
Hardware?

I have the following scenario:

Phone - PABX - E1 - Asterisk - ITSP - PSTN

When the phone place a call, which E1 channel Asterisk will reserve  
to this call? The allocations is ascending or descending? Is this  
possible to change this behavior?
