It's a long story... but basically because we need some sort of solution 
in early 1.2 for these types of ISDN adapters, and we can't add a new 
channel driver once 1.2 has been released. Yes, we're bending the rules 
a bit, but we (Mark and I) agreed that it was the right thing to do in 
this case.
