Hi
we use at the moment the conference feature to execute announcement groups.
The setup of groups is done by the manager interface (originate call)
It needs 1 talker and n monitors. The loudspeakers are common SIP users.
The talker is the MP3Player or a "live" subscriber.
Disadvantages:
- the zaptel pseudo device is needed, this means at least a digium or
ztdummy module.
- every audio sample is processed in asterisk, but high quality audio is
required
- given by the mutliple transactions the operation could be interrupted,
but we want an "atomic" command
**
I'm thinking about a multicast-bridge, which broadcasts an incoming frame
on all channels joined the group.
An extendend Dial(a&b&c) application could call and connect all
(auto-accepting) loudspeakers
To dynamically join and detach loudspeakers the manager interface can be
used.
This would work in an asynchronous manner.
Are there already some solutions to cover this?
thanks
Roman
